I can not stand Ruger’s website. I went looking for Hawkeye models, when trying to see what is available no pictures of the product pop ip just descriptions. Also when trying to go back and look at a different model of hawkeye I jave to start all over by choosing product , bolt action scroll to Hawkeye and choose the sub model. This is Stupid or maybe its me and there is a way of navigating their website I haven't figured out yet.
Also They seem to be getting farther away from the Type of rifles I will buy.

I click on Rifles, then Hawkeye and pictures of all 10 models appear.

Click on (for example) “African” and get a list of each African model available.

Click on that model and get pic, specs, etc.

Pretty simple.

Now if you’re using an unsupported browser or Win 7 or some other antique ….. that may not allow pics to show.

selective marketing. they only want to sell to those that can afford the latest computer op-system. slick....the classic going for the wallet, not the dedicated customer.

Umm, pretty staright forward website. it's all right there and very easily found.

I wonder if its not compatible with my iphone?
Some models show like the blackhawks , No 1’s
But hawkeyes dont.
Also when using the back button It goes to page where I have to choose between rifle, handgun etc.
maybe not iphone friendly

Good question …. I don’t know.

I have a flip phone but use both a new iPad and an older PC for internet ….. the web site works fine on both of those. Sorry.

Hopefully some smart phone wiz may come along and help you with compatibility issues.

We have an i-phone, an android phone, tablets, and a real computer. They all access the Ruger website with all the related images, but each device requires different or extra steps to access different pages of the Ruger website.

I see what you mean, if you look at revolvers or pistols, there is a close up picture of the different models, like the Commander 1911, vs the Competition 1911. There is a close up picture of each. BUT, on the Hawkeye rifles, there is only one group picture of all the different models, then if you select say the Predator model, there isn't a close up picture of it.

However, to go from the Predator model of Hawkeye rifle, back to a different version, say the Long Range Target, if you use the back button on your browser, it will go back to the main Hawkeye menu, and you can select the Long Range Target.

I do think it's different on an I-Pad or Phone. I think there you have to go back and select rifles again then which rifle etc. Their web site probably isn't designed for mobile use.

That Long Range Target or the Guide Gun look like pretty nice rifles by the way. Which models were you looking at? Ending sentences with prepositions...

WAIT! Some Hawkeye rifles do indeed have a close up picture, for example the African rifle has a close up on its informational page.

The place can get complicated or vague if ya click on the wrong thing or out of sequence.

Tried it today, OK if I do the right thing, otherwise?

Some companies are willing to pay for well done websites, some not so much. Even on my relatively new desktop PC, I have encountered sites where, as you found, you cannot just back up a step or two but must go all the way back to the home page and then start the search again.

And some things I cannot do at all on my PC and MUST use a mobile device, like sending money to someone using Zelle. Simple and safe to do on my IPhone, using my bank’s app, but not accessible on my PC where the bank’s website directs me to use a mobile device.

Still, it’s a lot better than the old days which meant driving to a brick and mortar store and being limited in choice to what was in stock.
