I want to tell you fine forum members Pete was bidding for me on the odd microsighted gun---saying he wanted me to have the gun and I could pay him back anytime 8) he is not the only member here to show kindness toward me. I enjoy this little hobby very much and enjoy seeing so many fine guns but its the people that are the real value of this forum to me--- so happy ruger shooting and collecting to all members :!: :!: :D :D

Sounds like a good one. Most people on here are really good folks. But some go above and beyond. :mrgreen: It's a good crowd to hang with!

Thanks for the very kind words! I have to say I've been on a lot of forums over many years, but none even close to as friendly as RugerForum.Com! There's a bunch of very good folks here who routinely share their knowledge and expertise, even with neophytes like me!

It's obvious from reading historical posts that many of you folks know each other in real time and have for years... It's an exceptional to find a group who have been mingling for so long and who still welcome new folks to their midst and share their individual expertise and knowledge so willingly.

Thank YOU and all the other good people here for all you've taught & shared with me and other relative newbies! :)

Affirmative; this forum has some great people associated with it. Until I joined this forum, I thought of myself as a collector. Now, after some conversations with forum members, I understand that I am merely an accumulator. I have learned so much from the true “collectors” that make up this group. I have always had a passion for Rugers and have many that are regular shooters. I also have the bunch (my collection) that I put away over twenty years ago with the hope they, like savings bonds, would be worth more someday. Big thank you to all those members who have given me such great advice and made me understand the difference between a collector and an accumulator!
