One question, did you buy the parts or did you make the parts. I love it when someone actually makes the parts for his conversion and finds out it works. BTW good looking job. Chief aka Maxx Load

The front end started life as a standard Ruger stock.
The rest I have added to complete the stock.
This was done using 1/2" plywood laminated together.
I added a Kidd barrel and bolt.
The trigger was worked on to lighten the pull.
I know have a superbly accurate rifle.
The main reason I did this is so the stock would fit me!!, I am 6ft 4" with a reach like a gorilla.
Also over here in England we don't get the same choice of parts that you guys get, not that we are jealous or anything!!

Welcome to the forum. Don't be jealous. All that stuff is way overrated. I shoot a lot of moving small targets with my stock 10/22 carbine, short, balanced with the standard 40oz. trigger works great for me. Chief aka Maxx Load

I really like those Kidd barrels--esp. the prices compaired to some others -- I put a 10 inch one on my Charger and it is VERY accurate :!:

Yes I agree that Kidd barrels are superb and the Kidd bolt improves reliability.
The cost in the UK is a bit eye watering!!.
The barrel cost more than the rifle when it was new.(£250)
The bolt was'nt cheap either (£160)
