ruger super blackhawk ?

today I got a 7 1/2 inch barrel blued superblackhawk for $350. it has the flat back triggerguard.what year did they stop that feature on them? it doesent have hardly any blue wear.Ill post a picture tomorrow.

you can go to Ruger's website and check the serial # to find the date of Manufacture.

Old Model or New Model? At $375 must be NM. The dragoon frame is still standard on Supers. Yes some blue round trigger guard Supers (S458N) were/are made.

I looked it up made in 1980.It says ruger new model super blackhawk

Congrats on a fine gun at a very fair price. The square backed "dragoon" style grip frame is still being manufactured.
