Sorry for the newbie question, but I just bought a 1969 made Standard pistol. Did the usual cleaning, and I'm very well able to do the reassembly with no issues. Still, I like being able to pop out the bolt without removing the entire upper. I can't for the life of me find on line that threaded replacement part to take the place of the standard bolt stop pin.

What the heck is it called, and where to get?

Many thanks -

Save yourself the hassle. The pin will sit too high and interfere with using the rear sight. Adjustable sights work okay, but not the fixed sight.

Well, to answer the responses -

Thanks

If the pin sits too proud I'll dress it down

I'd remove the bolt to give it and the receiver a good cleaning.

I know I don't exactly need it, and I can disassemble/reassemble things like the Colt Woodsman, Winchester 100 and 1918 BAR no problem so the Ruger isn't a big challenge. Just want it 'cause. ;)

OK but in reality, the Ruger pistols don't require frequent cleaning which is one reason I never understood the 'need' for the MK4.
OCD gun owners. I was notorious for cleaning after every range trip, no matter the round count.

It got to be I'd avoid shooting because I didn't have cleaning time afterwards. Let's just say I've gotten over that, mostly.

I just pull the mainspring/ bolt stop and slide the bolt out of my Mark iiii. I would assume the same can be done with the older models without complete teardown?
