Ruger SR45 frame

Does anyone know where a guy could buy a Ruger SR45 complete frame/lower? I tried contacting Ruger directly, but they won't sell me one....unless I just spoke to the wrong person.

I have never seen one for sale. You might try posting a Want to Buy in the classifieds. It'll probably be easier to buy a used one, and sell off the parts you don't need.

The frame is the serial numbered part and, thus is the "firearm" by ATF definition. You will have to go through an FFL to purchase one. As noted, it might be easier to buy the complete gun ans sell the excess parts. You can sell the slide and barrel assembly yourself with out any dealer or FFL involvement.

Are you wanting to mod a frame or repair a broken one? Ruger will replace any damaged frame as long as the serial number is there. No serial number . . . you are out of luck. Mostly because the removal of the serial number is a violation of federal law.
