I'm new to shooting and just brought the Ruger SR22. Can anyone recommend a good/inexpensive clip-to-belt holster?
Where to purchase recommendations are also helpful.

I just got that pistol in June and I love it. As for the holster, I'm using the Blackhawk size 1, $20 at Academy sports. Uncle Mike's is recommend too, size 1. They don't clip on, belt slides through.

Ruger's website, if you haven't already looked, has recommended holsters listed. At home page, click the customer service link at top of page, then click holster compatibility chart.

It would be awesome if someone made a Serpa holster, but since it's not really considered a defensive or service weapon, I guess that won't happen.

I needed an IWB for my new S&W Shield. Looked at the DeSantis Sof-Tuck for the Shield on the DeSantis site but couldn't find it at online catalogue places. Did find that it's the same factory # as Ruger SR9c.

Anyway, Got it shipped to house for $26 on Amazon. Laying my SR22 over the Shield, they're basically the same size. Tried the SR22 in the Sof-Tuk for the Shield/Sr9c. It's a really good fit!

Don't know about good and inexpensive in the same holster, but I've been looking for a decent molded leather holster for my new SR22. DeSantis makes the "Mini Scabbard" OWB, but it's not a clip-on. Price is $57, which may not qualify as inexpensive, either.

When rumaging through the holster box to see if I already had something that would work, the SR22 fit surprisingly well into several leather holsters molded for the Kahr PM9. This included one I'd found on the holster wall in the local gun shop for about $30. Retention and draw are both good. May be a good option until the mainstream guys bring SR22-specific holsters to market...

I've made many holsters for the Ruger SR22. It is my favorite new toy. Here's a holster I made last month. There are more pictures in the gallery on my website.
