I just purchased a LR cylinder for My single six from someone on CALGUNS' Mine was missing when i bought the gun. It was supposed to be for an old model but I think it is for a new model. It fits My frame perfectly but the hammer will not pull back after droping it. If I ease it down with My thumbn no problem. The ratchet wheel on the rear of this cylinder is smaller in diameter than the one on My orriginal Mag. cyl. which is why I think it is incorrect for My old model. Can anyone confirm this for Me? I want to be sure of Myself before I try to return it to the seller. Any help or advise on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to Ruger Forum!

Does the cylinder have "counterbored" chambers?
Does the cylinder have a "firing pin groove" on its' breech face?

The LH cylinder is a OM .22 LR. The RH cylinder is a OM .22 Mag.

Flatgate, I replied in a PM, just learning how to use this site. My mag cyl. looks like the one pictured but th LR cyl in question does not look like the one pictured, it looks more like the Mag cyl except for the ratchet wheel diameter, the difference is noticable mainly due to the proxcimity of it in relationship to the chambers. I really need to get a digital camera. Thanks again, Fred.
