The second Hawkeye arrived at the FFL shop yesterday. It came with a Ruger MR-3BD grip frame installed and the factory XR3-RED aluminum grip frame with the wide trigger slot as well. This one also appears to be basically just like new and it too has the reddish lightening streaks in the blue on the main frame. What happens if two of these birds end up in the same safe? Do I get baby hawkeyes? :?:

That hurts!

:D :D

But hey,,, at least I don't feel bad about shooting mine! The hole in my topstrap lets me know that even while mine is in excellent shape otherwise, I can shoot it, allow others to shoot one, and still get my $$ back if I were to ever get to that point.

Robb,

I keep coming back and looking at your Ruger single action single sot-Gun #2 Hawkeye with the MR3DB brass frame. I am partial to brass frames but even so, your gun has wonderful lines with the larger dragoon frame. I am fortunate enough to have a properly mounted period scope on my one and only Hawkeye. If I put a brass frame on it I don't think it would as good as yours. So I guess I will have to go and find one like contender's to put a brass frame on.

Really good looking gun you got there.

SATCOM

(new model grips on the take off frame?)
