Ruger Single Action Grip Question

Good Morning - I have a Single Ten. LOVE this gun. Far more accurate than I am and really a joy to shoot.

Unfortunately, I find the angle of the grip makes this a difficult gun to shoot over a long period. The balance for me is very front heavy and I tend to tire easily, more so that with say my S&Ws. I just picked up a new GP100 which for me balances better but here's my question… Is there a grip that can be fitted to single action revolvers that is more vertical than curved?

My mom told me there was no such thing as stupid questions so…. (yes I feel a little stupid asking this as I'm pretty sure of the answer but I thought I would try).

Thanks!

Might try a Bisley grip frame. That is more 'straight up and down'. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/622010/ruger-grip-frame-ruger-bisley-single-six-bisley-bisley-vaquero-large-frame-steel-in-the-white

Welcome to the Forum!
If a more vertical angle is what you seek, then the Bisley is the way to go. Be prepared, they aren't cheap to convert. But the good news is the parts are interchangeable.

Might depend on what's getting tired. If it's the shoulder a new grip won't change the weight on the end of your arm. I'm trying to get more into the Aim Quick, Shoot Soon, Put Gun Down method..

Might I make a suggestion :As suggested , try a Bisley type grip frame. Either borrow one ... OR ... the Iver Johnson 22 revolvers of old are a Bisley type grip ... like a Super Sealed Eight , can be had for very a reasonable price. I've seen them for $125 here in Pa. Thats a lot cheaper than converting , then discovering it still doesn't accomplish what you want. If it works ..convert and sell the "test" firearm. Just a thought.

There is more of a technique involved with shooting single actions. Have you shot many others before? Another thing to try before replacing the frame is the grips. Hogue has some (not sure if they have them for the Single Ten) that are overmolded. They may give you what you are looking for.
