I'm looking for old Bearcat info on the Ruger website but I get

Sorry, we are unable to locate that serial number.

Computer and phone and multiple browsers get the same response.
VPN has been turned off.

PM me your serial number & I'll check a more accurate & easy resource. The Red Eagle News Exchange Reference Guide. Or,, post most of it here & we can look it up. (Example; 93-123xx.)

....ta daa.......(y)(y)

This ain't rocket science boys and girls, just years of paying attention and reading the books, and journals of the collectors "associating", and the time, effort and dedication of the many others who set up and display at various gun shows, both local and national.....;)

to quote the 'infamous' Jeff M...."Chad takes great notes...":)

And, spend the $10 per gun and get a Letter of Authenticity direct from Ruger. It’s a heck of a deal.

Here’s what you can expect to get for your $10.

The letter is how I found out my 1965 RSSM didn't ship to a distributor until 1967. Neat fact I think. Also found out it was sent to a hardware store in downtown Dallas, the city where I bought it from. No way to know all that without the letter.

Ruger's serial number lookup page will only show serial numbers that were entered into the program digitally. Before that you need to go to the old version of Ruger's "Dates of Manufacture". For example, google "Ruger Bearcat Dates of Manufacture" which will send you to a page that shows a general year by year listing of ship dates. If you want more specific information, you would need to get with the factory to send a factory letter as mentioned above.
As for Ruger's serial number lookup page, the digitally entered numbers go back almost reliably to 1984/1985, and I have found dates as early as 1976 so far. But for some reason some series can't be found at all... for example any of Ruger's blackpowder models.
