I have a chance to purchase a 1956, 357, 4 5/8 barrel, with box, in 95% or better condition. The gun has a letter from Ruger and it has ivory grips with the Ruger logo. Tell me where I need to be on price for this piece? I know just enough about these revolvers to get myself in trouble. Your input would be appreciated.

All of those items are desirable. The gun, if truly a Ross variation, around 1500-1600, original box, no model number, 200-450 depending on condition. The ivorys are subjective, if original, 1500 or so but hard to prove originality. But in general ivory grips are 450-600 for vintage non factory.
Others will give you more opinions and numbers as well but what you describe is a very desirable package

bottom line....." you have a chance to buy".......... just what may be the asking price???
condition ??, actual "original" "factory" ivory grips ?? BIG difference in one, versus the other.......... if NOT ALL "factory", then it is a sum of the total of the parts........ 8)
