Hey everyone, I am wondering if Ruger ever made the Redhawk in 41 Remington Magnum? Or did they produce any other double action revolver in 41 Mag? If so, I assume they are quite rare. Any info regarding this would be appriecated. Thank-You!

Sure did. They made the 5.5 inch in blued and stainless. They made them with 7.5 inch in blued and stainless. Finally they made both blued and stainless R models that had rings on the 7.5 inch barrels.

I think that covers the 41 Redhawks.

Here's my 5-1/2" 41 magnum in stainless, a 1988 production date. Absolutely love it.

Thanks guys. I have a single action New Model Super Blackhawk, it is the hunter model with a 7-1/2 barrel in stainless. I fell in love with the 41, I can load it up or dial it down for some fun plinking. I aways thougth a double action would be sweet, but they are like ghosts, you know they are there, but you never see them. Well it looks like another quest for me, thanks again.

r truex,

There is a 5-1/2" stainless 41 mag Redhawk on Gunbroker right now, I think starting bid is $725, buy-it-now for only $950! 725 isn't too out of line but 950 is high in my opinion.

Glockman,
Thanks, but you can't have it!

These are splendid revolvers. My 5.5" SS .41 Redhawk is a just-over 1"-@-25 yds gun with its favorite - 210 XTP and some H110.

If you get one, you will not regret it!

Regards,

Dyson

I have 2 both with 7 1/2" barrels. Both are great shooters and a pleasure to shoot that's why they go with me to the range nearly every time I go. I picked up the 1st one new in the early 80's and the second one came along used in the middle of '09. Both will be with for the duration and than passed along to my sons. I sure wish Ruger would bring the Redhawk back in 41 and this time put it in the 4.2" barrel.

Me too, I think the 4.2" barrel just looks right and it would be a great woods/hiking gun. I'll just have to make due with the 5-1/2" barrel until then!
