I purchased this Ruger carbine some two years or so ago and have put very nearly 1000 rounds through it including today shooting at the range. Early on experienced some failures to eject and some jamming upon the bolt trying to reload the chamber. Keep a written record of rounds fired by my firearms and both of the above-mentioned issues went away at around the 150-round count. I did disassemble the firearm upon receiving it and cleaned and oiled lightly and the early issues were most likely due to not being "broke in" as some firearms require. Today shot at both the 50 yard and 100-yard targets and accuracy was surprisingly good for a 9mm 16" barrel at the 100-yard target. A Sig Sauer variable 1-6 scope is mounted and that is a plus for the performance of the carbine, but the issued "peep" sight and post are quite good as well. Ammunition used most of the time is basic American Eagle 115gr even though I have some of the so called "potent" rounds with expandable bullets and they do shoot well also, nothing to complain about whatsoever. Not really a complaint, but the weight of the carbine with the optic is on the heavy side but manageable. Recently ordered a muzzle brake which is to arrive the 9th of July, next Tuesday, and it is made of titanium and weighs in at very few ounces.
Glad to see that Ruger looked ahead and threaded the barrel for just such attachments. Have read some reports on the PCC 9 carbine which are not favorable to the firearm, but I find it to be a great little addition of easy to shoot and very practical firearm as well. I would place it on the same level as Rolex watches in terms of quality build, functionality and useability.

I do have the thought about doing just that, silencer/moderator so to speak, but am hearing that sooner than later one will not have to register the "can" nor pay an exorbitant tax rate to purchase one. When Mr. Trump wins the upcoming election, I would guess that will take place and at this current date it would seem most likely that he will become our new President.

I've found that the heavier (147 grain) bullets improve the performance of the 9mm carbines. The longer barrel achieves even better velocity than advertised and even though they start slower produce improved terminal performance @ 100 yards+. A 100 yard 9mm is or could be fairly handy for some scenarios.

Where has all the Speer 135 grain 9mm ammo gone???? I can't find any at all anywhere???My Rugr PCC loves that ammo and its just plain not available from anyone at any price.

Help!!!

It’s almost that time.. we still have to register it but at least we don’t have to pay the tax stamp.. can’t wait to order the can for my Ruger PC TALO Edition.
