I just traded for a p94 in excellent condition last night.it is stainless steel and came with 3 factory 10rnd magazines.this is my 1st ruger .40cal.i have owned p85's,p89's and a p345.all were great pistols and i never had any problem with any of them.i am going to run a few rounds through it tomorrow.i expect it to perform just like any other ruger auto.any input on prior experience with this model would be appreciated.

I've put about 700 rounds through my KP944 without a single problem. The trigger, which wasn't bad to start with, seems to have gotten progressively better. It is very pleasant to shoot and very accurate; perhaps not "match grade" but still accurate. I carried it for a while but have since obtained a S&W 4013TSW that is a little easier to conceal.

Is your pistol a Decock ONLY, DAO, or a manual safety model? Also is it a newer camblock style or older swinging link. Dont know if you are aware but Ruger made factory 11 round mags also if you want 10% more firepower :wink: Congrats on a great deal on a great gun BTW.

I own a pair of DC swinging link P94s from '99 or so. I shoot one and keep the other NIB for my kids. I like it a lot and haven't had any problems at all.
Range report.I finally got to fire off a few rounds today.it performed just as i expected,flawlessly! :twisted:
here is a pic of a 9rnd string of federal 180grn.fmj at 15yds.the flier to the left was the 1st shot double-action.i think it was pretty good shooting for someone who hasn't fired a non-striker gun in almost a year! i am really pleased with this gun,i initially got it for trading fodder,but now i think i am going to keep it for a bit.

Some guys just like the Hogues on the P-series JB. No harm, no foul.
I have two with Hogues and one stock. Choice is a fantastic thing.
Clean it, shoot it, you don't have to worry about that P94 much. It will be there when you need it.

yeah,i just like the stock feel of the gun.no real need of improvement for me.i kinda wish they made the uncle mike's grip for this model.i don't know if they ever even offered it for the p94.i had a couple of p89's with the uncle mike grips and really liked the feel of them.wixedmords said:

The left side factory stock looks like it would need just a wee bit of back-routing to mount flush over the triggerbar spring, but I think it could be made to fit. If someone tried this, better to do it on a cheap set of grips rather than expensive after-markets.
