sorry its not an "old model", just a 15 year old ( as you say) New model.....if its an early one, 2 or 3 digits, and the receiver is marked "SSM" there is a premium, but for the run of the mill ( depending on overall condition) around here, they run in the $350 to $450 range, add the box, and paperwork ( shipper) and the value would go up, if one of the "early" SSMs, then the price runs in the $550-650 range....saw one this past week end, they were asking $850....yikes, go figure
so if they are "asking" $350 ,sounds pretty good to us....you can always "try" and make an offer.........

Did these all come with adjustable sights? I think I could get it for $300.00 since i don't reload this ammo seems hard to come by and fairly expensive. Maybe better off with a convertible?

In my experience, the 4-5/8" .32 mag. New Model Single-Sixes are rather scarce.

$400 gun in these parts.

I have a 5-1/2", 6-1/2" and a 9-1/2" and ALL are a blast to shoot!

I picked one up over the summer NIB and it has become my favorite. I would buy that one in a heartbeat.

I have never seen one that cheap. Remember that a new comparable rimfire version is $400 and they haven't made this particular model, highly desirable to a certain group of collectors and shooters, since the 1990's.

no, that number is too high for the gun to be actually marked on the cylinder frame "SSM"......

like this................

and yes, most of them had adjustable sights, though there was one , we called a "mini Vaquero" it had fixed sights and a real SHORT grip frame.

I bought a 5 1/2in 32 Single Six last week and got a great deal. No SSM no box but great price. Have four now, but no short barrel with adjustable sights.
It's waiting at home in MO. Makes me want to get home from our vacation and get to shooting.
Hope you get it if not let someone know where its at please. I'm not in the market right now though.
Take care.
John

Bigtubby I get the impression that you don't have much experience with single actions. They do feel different from double actions. If you reload the 32H&R is a good gun to find out if you like them. As contender said shoot it and give it a chance.
If you just don't like it at all, move it along. The short barrrel is a harder model to find and if put in the classifieds it should sell fast if priced according to the above posts.
Hope it works out,
John

One can change the grip frame to something a bit larger....

These are both .32 mag. Single-Sixes. One has a "Dragoon" (Super Blackhawk style) grip frame and the other sports a stainless steel "standard sized" grip frame.
