I am thinking about putting a 3L on my No 1-V in 220 swift. If anyone has a No 1 in this set up, I would love to see some pics and to hear how it is for eye relief? I'll be using it to try and thin out the yote population.

I think you are considering a VX-3L. If so, it should work just fine. The L models allow some latitude in scope placement due to the indention. Jack

I have a No1 V in 220 Swift and although I use a Weaver fixed 36X on it I also have a Leupold 6.5 to 20X VX3. Like the Weaver, the Leupold needs an extended base on the rear ring for me to get proper eye relief. I'm pretty flexible, at 6'5" & liking an 18" LOP I'm used to rifles not fitting all that well, having to conform to them to get comfortable. Perhaps I'm assuming, but I figure if I can't make the fit with conventional rings I lean towards others finding it a challenge too. Just an observation, others may find otherwise.

I was able to get a set of offset 4BO rings from another member here. I am having a hard time deciding on power. I am stuck between a 3.5 to 10 or a 4.5 to 14. I'll be punching paper and hopefully a yote or two. I am in Illinois and most the shots should be a max of 350 yards.
