Finally decided to actually shoot this fine rifle and purchased a Leupold 3.5x10 optic and after mounting the scope took the rifle to my backyard where I do bore sighting prior to going to range. Distance is 60 yards to a bright shiny object that I use for such exercise and much to my surprise after securing the rifle in a bench bag and looking through the bore and scope the crosshair was exactly where I wanted it to be. I have bore sighted many rifles in the same way and this time is the first time I did not have to adjust the scope whatsoever. The scope has zero stop feature and the elevation drum was showing zero regarding elevation, spot on so to speak.
The term American Express is my name for the rifle for it is of the same configuration as the Ruger Safari rifles they once offered to the public. Apparently, this scope and this rifle was made for each other!!!
