MKIII 22/45 LITE Gold Anodized #3900

Of the total of all colors (25,700 +/- of this model made the first year - 2012)

Does anyone have records of how many in Just GOLD were made?

Production numbers weren't that high due to short manufacture. The 3900 was only about 3 to 4 month production. I know that Ruger had about 1000 + receivers come in with bad anodizing. So they decided to discontinue production. I know Talo then took them and others about a total of 3000 and had them anodized black. I would have to look what number I have for the gold I used in my display. It is not exact but close.

I would need to look through a past issue of RENE where I noted the earliest known model 3903 with black receiver/fluted barrel, but everything before that would have been the original gold model, less the 3,000 rejects that TALO re-did in black. If I remember correctly, there are somewhere around 30,000 in the original gold model.

Thanks for the info Men
Picked up my first LITE in the Gold

While I never like the standard MKIII thinner grip frame (got a big hand) I really like this one with the thicker rubber grips on the side and back strap areas

Make for firmer non-slip grip and adds the thickness that better fits my hand as the MKII frame

I got this as in new condition, literally not a scratch or mark on it along with 6 Ruger 10 rnd magazines and Ruger soft case (no box or papers) for $250.00
