I've got a couple mini-14's, 580 and 581 series...would like to add a tactical model someday. As mentioned above....lets us know what you think when you've had time to test drive it a bit.

I know you don't see the stainless cataloged so I'm not sure how many were produced. If anyone know please let me know.

The stainless Tactical is cataloged in Ruger's Law Enforcement Catalog. Not sure why it's reserved as an LE weapon. Spend enough time around Ruger Corporate, and nothing will surprise you. It is currently in production, and one of our local law enforcement distributors carries them.

Got one myself! It is much more accurate than my older Mini-14. You will enjoy it. I always liked the actions on the old
M-14 and Garand too.

I usually like traditional wood/blued firearms but for this particular firearm I prefer the stainless/synthetic configuration.
