Ruger Mark ll Target pistol

I just saw a Ruger Mark ll Target stainless pistol sell on Gun Broker for $755 with 31 bids. Anyone know why it brought so much? Are they that rare? It was a 5 1/2 inch bull barrel if that matters.

Around here, a really clean Mark II will command a price equal to, or sometimes even a bit more than, a NIB Mark III of a comparable model. But $755 ??? :shock:

Because at least two people wanted it that badly. It was worth a little bit more to one of them than it was to the other one.

An auction is the only place in the world where a person will volunteer to pay more, and then brag about it.

You say "what's another $20" a couple of times, and the next thing you know it is a another couple hundred. Then you walk away feeling like a winner! Aren't auctions fun?

The only winner is the seller in this case, and the house who gets the fees for doing almost nothing.

With all the crazy things going on, Some people are willing to pay crazy prices. Auction sites should be avoided at all cost. The best places are the local gun shops or classified sections like ruger forum. There are some deals out there. As long as people are paying those crazy prices, The longer it's going to take to get back to semi normal...

or the sellers "buddy" OR "neighbor" who knows NOTHING about guns is 'helping' him to drive up the price, used to be a lady down the road who did that ALL the time,JERK !!
thats MORE than double the price of the ones sitting around here, , and stll on the tables....... :roll:
