I just ordered a NIB Ruger Mark II stainless in .222. Does anybody know if there are some simple mods that can be done to improve the trigger? I have replaced my Mark II semi-auto .22 pistol sear with a Volquartsen one that really improved the trigger pull and creep. I have not done any work on rifles yet. Short of buying an aftermarket trigger or paying a gunsmith, is there anything that can be done? Thanks in advance

Hello,
I have a MKII in 30-06 SS and it needed some work on that trigger. After some research, I selected a Timney replacement trigger and the install was not bad. I bought a dremmel tool and I had some files and it was such a big improvement. The install was all about following instructions and taking your time. I got lots of satisfaction doing the job myself. I was able to find a video on line with great graphics on the process. Good luck!
