Saw one for sale at a pawn shop for $500. It was pristine with box. Would you say that's a good price? I already have another one that I bought at a pawn shop (in not as good condition through). Just wondering about this one.

Is this the one with the 5.5 inch bull barrel and the different twist rate from the regular MKII Target? If so I'd think its a great buy especially if cared for and lightly used not abused.

It's a Government Target with the 6-7/8" round bull barrel.

Like this.

Thanks, never having held one of those personally, I was under the erroneous belief
that the Government Target models had a 5 1/2" barrel just with a bit slower twist
rate than the regular Target.

And................you don't ever want to actually pick one up. They are very hard to "pry out of your fingers until they are dead and cold". :shock:

Thanks SGW, I have a MKII Competition Target slab sided model with the 6 7/8"
barrel like the one in your picture in stainless but not the Government Target in
blue, I'll be on the lookout, it would make a nice addition to the MKII collection;
though I do wish it had been made in stainless but what is, is.

The MKII Government Target Model was made in both blue and stainless. The MKIII GTM was only made in blue.

Good to know, now I have to hope that Gunbroker has one for sale, the MKIII's
I don't care for and I'm still on the fence about the MKIV models.
