Ruger M77 Muzzle Diameter

I have a request for an M77 Compact (16.5" barrel), owner out there. If someone will. please put a caliper on the muzzle of your Compacts muzzle and let me know what the diameter of it is. I am thinking of buying one and installing a Ruger #1/M77 front sight base on it. I appreciate the help. Thanks, RJ.

How are those factory front sight bases attached?

To the best of my knowledge, the bases are heated and pressed on. I put them on by pressing them on cold with high strength epoxy. I've had no problems so far after lots of rounds down range.

Someone on this forum has got to have a Ruger compact and hopefully a caliper. I sure would appreciate it if someone will post the muzzle diameter. Thanks, RJ.
