Ruger M77 MkII Box Clip Conversion

Help Support Ruger Forum:

Wyatts makes one for 308 length. Drop-in. And I happen to have a set of bottom metal and 5 mags for sale right now. I had it on a ultralite 7/08 and a hawkeye predator 6.5. But put them into LSS chassis. Hence the sale. If you are interested, PM me....

I have a Pacific Tool and Gauge on my Ruger GSR. Use AI/Ruger factory mags, plastic or metal.

Excellent quality. It's what Ruger should have used on the GSR instead of that flimsy plastic item.

Well, that "flimsy plastic item" works well enough and supplying the PTG bottom metal would have added over $100 to the cost. I'm sure it was an economic choice and not too bad a compromise.

I realize this is a bit old, but I also have a Wyatts DBM conversion bottom metal. It's cheap pot metal, but it works well. Only down-side is having to use Wyatts magazines, but that's really only a down-side because I was using this as part of making a Hawkeye into a NRL / PRS style competition gun so I wanted a few mags.

My Ruger M77 MkII target now has a clip! Bottom metal fit no problem at all.
The clip needed a little bit of a tweek to get it to function with the 220 Swift Cartridge.
Ken.
