For those that collect this stuff, I got a question. Having to reorganize my paper, catalogs, brochures, yearly reports, etc and have some questions.

• What year did Ruger first have a Law Enforcement catalog?
• Any years since then, that they did not?

Ok,, the earliest LEO catalog/flyer I have is dated 6/78.
As far as I can tell,, this folder is the first LEO catalog I've seen & know of. Since the LEO stuff was limited in products,,, they didn't have much to offer. In 1980,, they went to a thin book type.
They had an annual catalog until about 1988-1989,,, from what I can tell,,, as I don't have a specific 1988 catalog. But I believe they did a 1988 one as my dealer price sheets show a 12/88 one. I don't have a 1990, 1991, but I do have a 1992. I have a 1993 but not a 1994. In 1995 they did a 2 year one dated 1995/1996. From there my collection jumps to 2000. I'm missing a lot between 2000 & 2008. They did a 2009, 2010, & 2011,, but I think they dropped printed catalogs after that.

That's what I have in my stuff.

The earliest Mini-14 broschures with dates of 1973/1974 are what eventually turned out to be the LE catalog with more full lineup.

I have a 1982 Law Enforcement Products catalog. Included with it is a Ruger Law Enforcement Sales Newsletter, Vol.4 - No.2 May, 1982. This seems to put volume 1 back to 1978 as noted by Contender.

I also have a 1985 Law Enforcement Products catalog. Both catalogs are 8 page glossy type. These were mailed by Ruger to the Precinct and were usually posted in the training room.

I've never seen any specifically for the military.
And I'll have to check & see what languages are in my exports. I know some of the stuff I have in manuals etc is French, Spanish & I think German.

Just for curiosity, were any of the export catalogs in Spanish? Were there ever any specifically military catalogs?

I don't remember any of the export Law Enforcement catalogs in Spanish. The LE catalogs are just without pricing.

I have a 1978 LEO Catalog in French.
I also have an interesting set from 1982. Both appear identical,, except one is marked "Law Enforcement products" and the other one is marked "Government Service Products." But, the Government one is date stamped "GSP EX 1/82" and it has different printing in it about the Mini-14's than the LEO one which is date stamped "Lep 7/82." The LEO one in the centerfold has the folding stock semi-auto version,,, while the government one shows a wood full stock semi-auto version. The LEO version has more color pictures vs the government one with more b/w pics. The government one doesn't show prices,,, while the LEO one does. I have this government one as an export in my list.
