I sure wish Ruger would make a Single Six sized Flat Top based on the mid size framed ones. Use the new XR3 steel grip frame and a steel ejector housing also. Made as a 6 shot convertible and of course a 4 5/8" barrel. I want mine blued. Anyone else interested?

.

Go for it !

I am, however, happy with my flat-top 1960 RSSM.

The "medium" frame and cylinder and barrel are bigger, and with the smaller .22 holes should weigh a noticeable amount more than the Single-Six.

Not saying this is a bad thing, but ii's worthy of consideration. I put a steel SBH grip frame and a steel ERH on my 4-5/8" OM .45, and it's a SLUG . . . but I like it.

Ale-8 you need to read the original post again because you just are not getting it. The post says a SS sized version of the flat top.

A Single-Six sized gun would not be based on the "mid-size" frame.

If all you're asking for is a "flattop Single-Six" then I gotcha. The difference in appearance between that and a regular adjustable-sighted Single-Six convertible (a Super Single-Six) would be very slight, but OK.

And you're right about the steel grip frame and ejector rod housing. Adds a nice bit of weight for those who like a heavier gun, much like the stainless SS as you mention.

:)

Cheese-n-rice! Ruger has made some 60+ different handguns in 22LR already! Not good enough? Now ya want a four-pound SA?
