Ruger can still make a good gun when they want to.

Just examined a new SP101 DAO yesterday that came in with a shipment that included several LCR revolvers. I must say that SP was superbly fitted and finished. Built like a bank vault and beautifully turned out. And they have not yet resorted to putting the hideous Hogue stocks on them either. The LCR may serve its purpose, but that SP really shined as an example of the quality Ruger is capable.of when they work at it.

Don’t think this is anything new, my SP101 (with a hammer) is very nicely finished as are my other 4 Ruger handguns. Don

I felt exactly the same when I received my 4 5/8" .44 special flat top.......... I was so tickled I went ahead and bought another one, with the next consecutive serial #.

I have had 3 fiarly late model SP101's in the last couple years. All 3 were as good as anyone could expect a revolver to be. I also have a late model 3 Inch Adjustable sight GP100 in 38 Special. It is also about as good as it gets. No complaints at all about the fit and finish of any of them.
