Hi all. I just bought a set of NIB, all paperwork, serial numbered shipping cartons, unturned buckeyes with matching serial numbers from each run. Can any one give me an approximate value for the pair, and howmuch of the value I'll loose by firing them. I've been looking for a set of shooters, and these were a pretty good deal for brand spankin new from the prices I've seen shooters go for. The 32-32/20 is SN 610-0357X 10mm-38/40 is SN 611-0357X. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me....Dave

Dave,
On the high end I have a pair of two digit guns (#57) that
I value at $2400.00. Both NIB. Go and do a search of past
auctions on GB to see what matched sets are going for.
Even shooters that are well cared for bring a good dollar today.
Best of luck to you.
Terry

Bought brand new when they came out as a matched set. Buckeye let me buy the 38/40 with the same number because I bought the first one. Great shooters! Would never sell.

Thanks guys, does any one know the production numbers for the two? Also how big a hit in value will I take shooting them. Just deciding if I'd rather pass them on to a collector and get shooters, or shoot the set.

Maybe more than reducing the value of the guns by shooting them, I wonder if you're limiting your market of potential buyers. Kinda like putting a custom "theme" paint job on a rare or collectable motorcycle or muscle car.

It may be that real true collectors wouldn't even consider a pair that'd been fired.

Unless the .32-20/.32 H&R was a mate to my .38-40/10mm.....
