RUGER BLACKHAWK QUESTION ON SHORTEST FUNCTIONING EJECTOR ROD

Getting ready to shorten a Talo Bisley to a Sherriffs Model with a 2.5 to 3" Barrel BUT still want the ejector rod housing in place,so anybody know about how short to go and still get enough lift for the thumbnail? Thanks

Another option is not worry about if it gives you case lift but have a small recess done on each chamber for the thumb nail to fit in.

2.5" gives about 1/4" extraction on the case. Did a pair of Vaqueros (large frame), plus a prototype.
