Question here is about the grips. Will any pair of grips for the correct frame fit on this gun or am I going to have to turn it into a woodworking class. If the second part is true I am not going to mess with it as these grips are way above ordinary. i was just going to go after some very fancy wood for a couple or 3 of my very hard to find revolvers and put very hard to find excellent grained wood on them. I am guessing my best bet here is to send the gun to the grip maker and let them do a custom fit. ?Here is my problem with that. I do not want to get it back all screws messed up and tiny scratches everywhere. This gun is perfect even uned an eye loop so Imay be shooting myself in the head even thinking about this project but I do like pretty wood grips and it seems all gun makers now want to use cheese grater plastic grips and not take the time to make a real grip. ?you would think with todays moderm machinery the grip frame and the grip could both be held to .001 with no problem at all. I thin it is all about holding down the cost.Comments appreciated.
