Did they make the 357 adjustable sights in any length but 7 1/2 I saw onw at a gun show and I am thinking its a cut down to 4 5/8

They did a run of 5.5" for Lipsey's.

There was a run of 500 for AcuSport in 2006 also. All were stainless most with black laminate grips. The AcuSport series were very nice guns.
Anything is possible when it comes to Ruger.

As easy as it is to interchange parts on Ruger SA's, I'm surprised there's not more homebrew variations seen and questioned. A while back there was a really short Bisley in a shop here. Looked hideous as the grip frame was longer than the barrel.

Yeh... I saw one at the gun show yesterday .. .357... SS 7.5" Bisley with a
blue cylinder & base pin .. not my cup of tea .. guy said it was a special run .. ???

"Says it was a special run" doesn't equate to being a special run. Without Ruger papers stating it as such it's here say. Looking in the RENE reference, I see nothing about such a creature. I'm thinking it was Frankensteined together. These parts interchange soo easily in a matter of minutes.

The tag said made it 2007. The muzzle crown did not look right. It had a darker blue finish. There was a heavy turn line on the cylinder that almost looked like it had been touched up. Dog gone gun show lights. I wrote the serial number down and then lost that by the time I had finished running errands and made it home. That gun show doesn't change much maybe I will see it again. Thanks for the imput.

I don't know if this is germane or not, but the 50th Anniversary .357 Flat Top BlackHawks have 4 5/8" barrels and adjustable sights. They are built on the medium frame
and look like VERY desirable revolvers. My brother has an OM .357 Flattop BlackHawk with 4 5/8" barrel and it is a dandy in every way.

Yup, sounds fishy. Like I mentioned, if the dealer is adamant about it's authenticity, he wouldn't be against having it factory verified. If so, walk...
