Is this a standard or a MK1? Found it at auction last night serial says its made in 74 prefix-12. Great condition probably 95%. What wod be a fair value?

It's a Standard Auto, MK1 had target sights. They seem to pull about $350-400 here in CA.

I've got one I paid $25 for back in the late 70s. Always shoots never jams.

Prices vary by area. You didn't provide your location so CA prices are as good as any. I can say that would be a bit high in my neck of the woods.

I paid $175.00 for a 6" MKII STANDARD not all that long ago.

I have the same gun but made just before the MKII series began, so will take the 10-shot magazines. Mine cost $275 here in SoCal (which really means $310 when you pay a dealer to do the state-mandated background check....). Basically new gun (but no "box or docs"). A good price HERE, I reckon. Needed a shooter, and it does that!

Photographic note that may be of some use for future efforts. Placing dark items (like blued steel) on a whit :mrgreen: e background tells your camera there's plenty of light and to either close down the aperature or increase the speed. A darker background might not suggest the stark contrast you're looking for but would give you more details on the gun.

Great suggestion! I see that done a lot and always with the same results. Too dark.
