Ruger 77/44 threaded barrel??????

I am interested in purchasing a 77/44 and having the barrel threaded for suppressor usage. I am wondering if anyone here has had this done on theirs, or if it is even possible. I don't know if the barrels OD is sufficient enough to provide an adequate shoulder. If anyone has one and can maybe measure the OD at 16 inches that would be great, or if you threaded yours with no problems, even better. I'm not looking into integrally suppressing the rifle, I'd rather use the sppressor on other hosts as well.
