Did ruger produce the 77/17 17 hmr with a synthetic stock?
Would like to find one. Thanks.

Yes they did I held one that my LGS claims he may some day sell me. Finding one may be a bit of a challenge. That one has been the only one I have seen in person and that was two years ago.

I had a beautiful 77/17 in my hands today. Stainless heavy barrel wood stock. A steal at $600.00

I have one and gave Tom a matching one. Blue w/boat paddle synthetic stock and no sights. Both are good shooters but not with the same ammo(grrr).
I have a spare barrel that's going in for shortening and threading. When that's done, I'll probably have a RAR in 17 HMR for sale unless the kids want it.

Had this question more than once: Davidsons had a clean-up run a few years ago, SS factory boat paddles and the regular profile synthetic stocks included in run. Absolutely a factory issue, must be somewhat rare as several folks has asked me if I replaced the stock. I no longer own it, a member here wanted it more than I did. Was a neat little rifle.

Interesting. I wonder it if was a v-block receiver or threaded receiver?

Do not know, never shot it or took it apart, suspect threaded because of time it was made, but as always we never know with Ruger.
