I'll add, the sweet spot for them are 240g. Feed them those and it'll run like a top and out of the 18" barrel muster a bunch of horse power
I don't think so nor do others who have fired mine Including my wife who doesn't care for recoil much at all. She was shooting good scores with it almost immediately. The weight of the carbine certainly lessens the thump of the magnum so much more than a revolver. Sure doesn't kick any more than my 30-30 Marlin and I would maybe a little less.There's a bit of power on the back end also.
