So today I came across a 327 Blackhawk SS with a blued cylinder and blued ejector rod. Anyone heard of this? What kind of money do you guys think its worth? It does come with paper work saying that it was made this way by Ruger.

They were made by Ruger in that configuration from the factory. Here is a pic of mine I bought new last year. I added the elk horn grips. Sold then for around $630, but they have been bringing considerably more on the auction sites. Not sure on exact number made.

I don't think they were ever intended to be an exclusive for any one distributor. Davidson's just happened to purchase all Ruger had when it showed up on Ruger's inventory list.
As I recall, there were something like 60 made.
I think somebody at the factory erred in chambering chrome moly cylinders in the .327 round. So to get rid of the stock, Ruger just went ahead and shipped them out.

Ruger 45..be sure to pass the serial number on to me so I can see if it falls within the known serial number range for this model. You can send me a PM.
Thanks!!

23978 that makes one between mine and Shooter's.
I would put up a photo but can't seem to figure it out.

You threw me off for a second when I saw those grips, thought maybe it shipped with them until I saw the originals in the bag. I did not realize there was only approx. 60 of them made. Good to know.
