In additon to barrel makers mentioned, most big name barrel makers have a NC contouring machine. If your taper is in their data base, usually the custom tapering is free. If not in their data base, then a modest fee is applied as a one time deal for that taper programing. Pacnor and Lilja talk about such on their sites. One would only have to inquire about such with the barrel maker of choice. Hard to imagine that the No.1V taper would not be in most data bases, as the No.1V has been around for quite a while.

Yeah, had to fuss with the barrel band too. He has not said anything about banded front sights and rear irons yet..............
