Have yet to see one in the wild but if it is as nice as the LW CMD in .45 I bought last year then I will have to start saving for one.

This was going to be my new gun, but my wife confiscated it from me.
As some have stated.
The LW CMD arrived dry.
I found it easy to field strip, lube up lightly and
re-assemble.
The slide stop slid right back in,, no idiot mark as of yet.
Mags would only hold 8 rounds.. with the 9th being tight.
The only real gripe I have (other than the cardboard box) is the
fact that the gun could have
come with some Frog Lube or other oil and a bushing wrench.
This gun might be a tad heavy for me to carry.
Like with other guns that I'd love to conceal (GP-100 WC,
CZ97B, Speed Six, ect) my bad back says otherwise.
However..my wife loves the fact that the can rack the slide...
and she would have no problem packing this stainless
beauty if she had the proper holster.
She likes shoulder holsters.
As for carry a load.
It will only be Double Tap.. and I have 4 choices in my ammo
collection.
1: Double Tap 115 grain Barnes TAC-XP solid copper
hollowpoint. The same bullet as loaded by Cor-Bon
and the Barnes or other TAC-XP related defensive
ammo.
2: Double Tap's 124 grain Bonded Defense (Speer
Gold Dot) JHP.
3: Double Tap's 147 grain Bonded Defense JHP.
4: DT's 147 grain Controlled Expansion Jacketed Hollow
Point bullet. Very accurate in the past.
Both the TAC-XP and Gold Dot are popular defensive
loads by both citizens and the police.
I guess we will shoot some of each and see what both feeding, recoil
and accuracy show.
I've read that the LW CMD will feed about any quality JHP ammo.
We hope to shoot it on Friday.
I'll be testing those different loads including the DT 77 grain shown.
I'm sure it will be plenty accurate.

Picked mine up yesterday. Been to the range twice and like the way it shoots. Especially the trigger right out of the box. Right now it shoots a little to the left of center but will take care of that with a little adjustment. Had a couple of hick ups with it not chambering a round all the way in but I figure that is because of it being new. Should wear in with time.

Had mine at the range today. Third time out, and still the charm! 100 rounds or more of 115 gr Blazer brass and aluminum. Probably 2-3 inch group at 25 feet. Damn acceptable. And like yours, mine shoots a little left. This is becoming a consistent pattern and may have to take a whack at the rear sight.
I love this pistol!

Well, we have been trying to get to the local indoor range for a few days.
As he has not been feeling too well, I was the only one that shot the new
LW CMD 9mm today.
I forgot the camera, but not the Federal and Double Tap Ammo.
My lone target was of 4 silohuettes (sp?) in orange on a cream background.
The first two mags were Federal 115 grain FMJ.
The CMD has a nice trigger pull for a stock 1911..
and @ my usual 15 yards...
I was able to get some tight clusters.
Next up was the Double Tap 147 grain controlled expansion
JHP. This shot very nice for head shots on the target.
Double Tap's 124 grain +P was the next load.
This stuff isn't the stoutest 9mm I've ever shot, but
you can feel it.
Pretty decent for head shot with 2 shots in the tiny head
and 1 flyer to the right.
I'm used to shooting striker-fired pistols (XD-S, Mod 2)
PPS M2) so I think that I tend to mash the trigger a bit.
When I slowed down my accuracy improved and the gun
shot Spot On, even for my againg ahnds and eyesight.
Moving up the the DT 147 grain Gold Dot, the gun didn't
mumble or fumble as it gobbled up 3 rounds of the heavier
stuff and printed them neatly into the tiny head on the right.
This had the most recoil of out any load today, and it really
shakes up my RAMI when I shoot it. Pretty powerful for
a 9mm load.
So, all along I'd been impressed with the accuracy of this
new gun.
For about 6 years the DT 115 grain TAC-XP has been my normal
carry load for 9mms.
3 of the the TAc-XPs sailed out of the LW CMD and gave me a nice
group in the lower torso's head.
Wow, this thing can shoot!
Recoil wasn't an issue with any of the loads, and even the
77 grain Lead Free JHP didn't balk at sliding up the feed ramp.
I've shot this lighter load in a few 9mms, and the LW CMD
has less muzzle flash and blast than those previous,
but it was still there.
This pretty much roars out of your gun @ 1,600 fps..
or so.
Unlike some have reported, this gun didn't seem to need
any break-in period.
I thought I might have some problems with the 2 stock mags..
yet they perked right along.
I'm truly sure that a 1911 guy or gal could wring out even more
from this gun, but it will pass the muster for range or carry.
Add a HBE leather or a Black Arch kydex holster and one would be set.
A superb piece of Ruger workmanship for the price paid!

I really like the light weight 45 just wish the rear slide serrations were the same as the 9mm. Those mags are the same ones as the Kimbers and they are great mags. Doubt I will buy another 9mm 1911 but if I do this one will be up for consideration. I would love to convert one to 9x21 . . . that would be a great!

I have found the 124 gr. Double Tap with the Gold Dot to be best in my pistol. Very accurate.
