I have three other 1911s in 10mm to compare it to and it is impressive for the money.
I have also gone out and shot it several times now next to a SR1911 in 45 and the recoil is not bad. Of course with its bushing-less barrel and FLGR it is about 2.5 ounches more than the 45. Now folks will wine about not shooting hot loads in the 10mm but remember one can shoot +P and 45 Super (derived from the old 451 Detonics round) in the 45ACP.
