I was originally thinking just drilling a hole on the button and screwing in a swivel hinge and attach a bopd to it ut it could get in a way of gas piston. So my question is what are my options for bipod installation? One mini is in fiberglass stack and another one in wooden

Harris makes an adapter for the Ruger Mini that will work.

That Mini-14 in 7.62 x 39 sounds like a Mini-30 to me. As for bipod mounting, go for the Mo-Rod to improve the rifle's performance, and then use the Mo-Rod as a platform for a short Weaver rail barrel clamp. That will provide options for a tactical light or laser sight as well... www.mo-rod.com

K-MO thanks for the good idea. What kind bi-pod can I attach to that mo-rod?

Any bipod that attaches to a Weaver rail (that's most) will work. All that is needed is an inexpensive Weaver rail barrel clamp, like the one shown below...

What impacts does attaching a bipod to a strut that is attached to the barrel have on accuracy?
