For those who complain about the 10/22 switching to plastic parts, Remington had a pretty good run with their Nylon 66. I still shoot mine and prefer them to the 10/22. Tube feed is so much more convenient.
My friend that heads to range regularly with me has a Nylon 66, he is a fan. Also has a Model 60 Marlin. He is a Ruger fan with their older autos and Red hawk but has maybe 4 to 5 22lr rifles, not a single 10/22. I've gotten the bug with the 10/22s and now at three. We all have our favorites and I'm enjoying the 10/22s. My last purchase was the TD model 11100, the synthetic stock on the TD is really decent but I had already ordered the Hogue replacement stock as I'm a fan of those with one on my 10/22 carbine. If I hadn't grabbed the Hogue so soon I may have stuck with what the TD came with. For those who complain about the 10/22 switching to plastic parts, Remington had a pretty good run with their Nylon 66. Good deal Bull's-eye. I believe you will enjoy it.Well, thanks to sharpblade7777's 10/22 enabler's thread, I picked up this stainless Take-Down version this past weekend...I needed something to stick this extra Vortex Venom I had laying around on anyway.
Love the wood
