I just "GOOGLED" the 10/22 TTS. (Thumbhole Target) Sent me to Reloaders Nest Forum where they discuss the gun in detail. Other links as well. Sounds like a fairly rare gun made in late 90's and discontinued the same year. RUGER is engraved in the stock. Hope this helps! John

No, it had a smaller thumbhole and RUGER engraved in red letters, Go to GOOGLE and there is a link to the Ruger Forum discussing "Rare" 10/22's. Pretty interesting. John
I have contacted Ruger a couple times about my rifle. It is amazing how hard it is to find anything out about my rifle. It was produced 21 July 1997. There were very few made. Catalog # 10 / 22 T/TS. TTS means Target Thumbhole Stock. If I want more info I can request a letter of authenticity from Ruger. That should give me the numbers produced. I can't find this rifle in any gun value book either. I told Ruger I was disappointed on how hard it is to get any information on the rifle. It is like it doesn't exist.

To add to my research with Ruger I have called them 3 times. The first Customer Rep chuckled when I asked him if it was a rare rifle and replied yes it is. The next Customer Rep put me on hold when I asked how many were produced she came back and said not very many. So why is this rifle so hard to get any info on??
I don't think so... IIRC they were just a blued Target model barreled action in a different stock. I looked at them when I bought my first Target, and they were a bit more (but not twice the price), but I didn't care for the stock (comb was way too high foe me), so I went with the standard laminated stock model instead.
Those stocks are uncommon, but I have no info on total numbers... IIRC, the rest of the rifle is a standard T configuration (20" hammer forged barrel).

I agree thanks for the advice. Why though isn't listed in a gun value book? I want to know why Ruger is so sketchy about it? How does one even put a value on the rifle. I just want to start with the basics. I am not looking to get rich. This all started because I want to sell it for a new rifle I would like to buy. How do I sell it if I don't know where to start .
You can't sell it for more than someone will pay... I know how that sounds, but the bottom line is... price it $100 more than you would pay, and be open to offers or be very, very, patient. If it's out of the ballpark, you won't hear from anyone... then you decide, keep it, or lower the price.

Or you can price it near market when you decide what that is, ignore low-ballers and someone who knows what it is will buy it. Nice rifle, that stock was made to shoot offhand with high rings, low rings defeat the purpose of the high comb and extreme drop of the toe. I'd love to shoot it.
Go over to rimfirecentral.com and check around, there are lots of 10//22 fans there who know their stuff. Must be 10 different 10/22 forums covering anything and everything. I bet if you join and ask your questions you'd get answers. The Trading Post there is very active as well.

I plan on pressing Ruger next week again about more information. I hopefully will get all my questions answered about the history/production of the rifle. I respect all the 10/22 inthusists opinions and information. I want the facts from Ruger themselves. That way if a potential buyer starts too google the rifle and gets all kinds of different information. I will hopefully have the correct information.

And as far as some of the special distributor models that have been produced since about 1988, you can't even get Blue Book of Gun Values to list them, even when somebody (me) is willing to give them the info.
