Two factory loads that shoot good in my 308's are Remington 150 and 180 grain CoreLokts, and Hornady American Whitetail 150 grain bullets.
I only have only used H-4895 in my loads and have had good luck with a variety of bullets.

I have not shot my #1A 308 enough to give an opinion. However, having loaded for the 308 for over 40 years, one might try the Sierra 165 gr. Game King hollowpoint, #2140, over RL-15 or 748. I've found it to be accurate in any 30 caliber rifle, particularly the 308. It's my go to load to see if a rifle will shoot or not. The #1 may like heavy or light bullets, but since the 165 is right in the middle, it's a good place to start. Bob!!!!
