Roy Rogers Quick Shooter Hat

I guess this was cutting edge 'branding' back in it's day but I find it amazing that RR actually went along with this really stupid toy.... then again I wonder what one of these would be worth today?

There are a lot of things from that era that many would consider "stupid" today. Times were different then. Personally, had I known about it when I was 6 or 7, I would have LOVED it.

Back in those innocent days I had a "Johnny 7 OMA"...(One Man Army!) which Mattel advertised the heck out of during the after school "oat operas". Was the only kid for blocks around to actually have one and I had to bug my mom for a month and do every chore I could think of and never gripe about sunday school...I think they were about $15 which was a fortune to a kid back then..

A better time to live as a youngster IMO... :?

I was more mid to late 60's I had the man from uncle secret agent set.....

Was that the set that had the camera that unfolded into a gun? I remember it had a fountain pen in the set that squirted what ever you put in it. It had an amazing range.

I "borrowed" that squirting pen from my nephew. It was pretty neat to go to a bar and order a pitcher of beer, load up the old secret spy pen from the pitcher and shoot someone across the room. They never could figure out where it was coming from.

Then again this is about 1960.... probably my first cap gun as well as doll:

So, it was you that started that backwards whearin' hat crap????????

The 'gang' I Belonged to latter on went for floresent orange stocking caps stollen from a specific country store. the best way to describe the gang was .. Redneck nerds.

By the way, wearing your ball cap backwards shades your neck so that it doesn't get so red. :-)
