Rossi ranch hand sight fix from 10/22

Before i got this i knew that they All shot high.Everyone was putting a higher front site blade on them.I think the front site look too high now so i went a different way. From the long back site i went to a 10/22 site that is Down the tapered barrel making the thing set lower.It shoots dead on with enough adjustment to move it up or down.

i want one! does the dovetail of the sight fill the dovetail on the barrel?

The front site has a brass bead that when laid on the top of the white arrow of the 10/22 site is perfect for up too 100 feet or so , dead on. Thats about as far as i shoot it. But you line the brass up with the white and its a hit every time. I could not have found a better set up. I had to center punch the center of the barrel dove tail to make it fit a bit tighter but I did not have to change the site adjustment at all from the 10/22 setting. At first i did move it down till i shot it and moved it back to were it was.

You can put the butt stock against your cheek and shoot like a rifle almost. No kick with the 38. I haven't shot 357 yet .I load 38 only and am twice as pleased as i thought i would be with it.
DON'T EVER think a guy with a ranch hand isn't deadly if he is pointing your way.You will be dead. I load 5g of unique with winchester primers and a 158
R N copper "plated" bullet.

Seriously tho, i love em!! I would like to file the paperwork and make a SBR out of a 357. Anything bigger i would leave it as a pistol tho.

I was going to do the same,but after shooting it now i will just keep my $200 and stay like this.The sbr was why i got this . It makes for some fun DIFFERENT from the norm shooting.The 10/22 site being farther down the barrel away makes it perfect when the butt is on your face and the site not in your face like the factory 1.You can see it in this picture the site sets way back.
It feels good when you throw it up and lines up nice and quick too. :D

And think it's pretty cool how you fixed that sight issue...now i might have to try one, lol.

But, in truth...i think i like that that 10/22 Maire's Leg just a liiiitle bit more...cool stuff!

The factory Charger stock sucks i think. So i set out to do something. and 1 day as i was waking up i had the idea to make a todays style mare's leg. Before i had my hair+teeth brushed i was sawing off a 10.22 stock.
Put it on your cheek and hold it by the tripod and you can't miss.
