Heliman and I drove to Pendleton today to have lunch with McKnight77 and Bear Paw Jack.

As always, we had great conversation and a great lunch.

And afterwards, we met in the parking lot for a little show and tell and photo-op.

Heliman, McKnight77, WAYNO, Bear Paw Jack...

Thank you my friends for a wonderful day. 8)

Excellent!
Gatherings by Forum members is always great.

And while many may be "seniors" by age,, most of us aren't seniors in our minds! :D

Howdy to you too. :D

It is a lot of fun. We're all Veterans, we all have extensive hunting experience, we're all very gun-savvy, and we're all learning to be senior citizens. So for the few hours we're together, the discussions may ramble, but there's not a moment we don't have something to talk about.

I have been so fortunate to have met so many folks from this forum.

WAYNO and I are about 3 hours away from our meeting place. In that time we generally stop for breakfast, visit a gun-shop or two and several pauses for the cause. Otherwise we have pretty much endless conversation along the way.
Once we hit Pendleton and the casino there is another 2-3 hours of chit chat with BPJ and Mcknight77, coupled with lunch. Prior to heading home we have a period of show and tell in the parking lot of the casino.
The trip home is generally interrupted by more stops at gun-shops, refueling stop and more pauses for the cause.
Our day yesterday from the time I left home until our return is generally a minimum of 13 hours.
The time is worth it. It is always fun to hang out with like minded folks! Can’t wait for our next meeting!

I am glad you guys weren't wearing masks outdoors cause we would not recognize any of you. :D :D

Funny you'd say that. You don't have to get very far from Portland, and masks are not welcome. One gun shop we stopped in, in The Dalles, while I was getting out of my truck with a mask in hand, an old guy out front told us we better not wear those masks in there.

I want to send a deep heartfelt THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES for your military service and sacrifices for our still great country!
