True story . . .
Once upon a time, quite a while ago, I was sitting in my car at a stoplight in the right-turn lane. I sorta noticed a ratty Chevy Monte Carlo ease up on my left side. Was minding my own bidness. For whatever reason, I glanced to my left and noticed the two bearded good ol' boys in the car . . . and then I noticed that the one on the passenger side -- my side -- had what appeared to be a little Stevens single-shot pistol rested over the rearview mirror on the door. I quickly faced front. Just before the light changed, he let go with what was either a .22 short or one of the Aguilla low-power rounds, and the red lens on the overhead traffic signal shattered! I couldn't help myself, and turned to look at him. He just smiled and pulled the pistol back inside the car. The light changed and the Monte Carlo took a left and disappeared in the traffic.
He didn't even use the sights. The pistol was rested on the rearview mirror, several inches below his line of sight. To this day, I wonder what his batting average was on traffic signals.
