yesterday was my birthday... I am buying myself a conversion cylinder.

I would like an R&D / Howells stainless.

here's the glitch. I want one with the cut hammer holds between the chambers. I called Howells, they don't make them. but I have seen them.

1. does anyone know where I can get one?

2. would it be possible to carefully file one in?

thanks guys!

Go here:

and see if that's what you're looking for.

I bought a Howell cylinder for my ROA through Buffalo Arms. After I got it I wished I had gotten one with hammer notches from Taylors. But even with the notches, I'd still only carry with 5 chambers loaded.

right, exactly... but when I emailed them I was told, that they don't have them with the safety notches like in the picture.

that's my dilemma. :(

Might check with these guys. they are becoming part of Kirst and may have something to offer. 8)

What a strange coincidence! My dad's birthday was yesterday too & one of the things he left me when he died was a ROA! For a long time it was the only revolver he owned. Before your post I did not know about conversion cylinders. Please post after you get yours to let us know how you like it. Thanks and happy birthday! Ed

My blue one from years gone by had the safety notches you're talking about but I haven't seen any in a blue moon.
