Not sure if this is the best place to post but I was looking for a belt and holster for my single six. Found what looks to be just what I wanted. A little beat up and cheap. Don't plan on wearing it much at all so I was looking for the cheapy stuff.

The listing doesn't tell how big the belt is so I e-mail the guy. I mention in there that I would like his opinion. He e-mails back he typically gets in trouble for his opinions. ? So I e-mail back and ask if he could simply measure with a tape measure or try it on himself and tell me how big it is. He e-mails back again and says he just takes pictures and posts what he knows about the items. Then says I shouldn't bid. ?!? So I just e-mailed again and ask if it is really that hard to measure this? And if he changes his mind to let me know the length.

Can you believe this? I simply want to know if this will fit before I buy it. Is that too much to ask!?!?!

OK I don't feel much better but at least I got that off my chest.

"He posts what he knows" now there's a scary statement coming from some one that can't figure out how to use a tape measure :)

What is the cheapest rig you guys have seen? Looking for a single six rig with bullet loops.

Unfortunately online auctions are a good place for people who sell whatever crap they can find from home and can't be bothered with anything beyond creating the listing.

Kind of depends how fancy a rig you want. I've seen cartridge belts for around $25 to $45 depending on how good of shape they are in. Not sure what a plain Hunter brand is going for. Leather holsters for decent used ones run around $45 to $50. If you want a western style rig you will probably have to pay a lot more. Nice western style rigs I've seen run in the $250 range or more.

I did a lot of looking around this time last year and went with a suggested post here www.rosstudio.com

Turned out to be not only excellent quality but excellent prices. Lindsay Ross who owns the business is a top notch craftsman (Australian) as well as a excellent business man (I had a mix-up holster belt loop size where he made another at no charge other than shipping).

I bought everything from a Rem R1 45acp/hip holster and double clip holder to, Ruger 5 1/2" 44splc holster and belt w/initials embroidered as an extra of his, to a Ruger 7 1/2" 44mag shoulder rig made for over or under hunting clothes.

I know from talking with Lindsay he had bought another tannery and is getting things set-up due to increased demand. I wouldn't get flipped out by the fact that he is located in CapeTown S.A. Shipping here was ten days or so without any issues. Hope this helps out I plan to order again this time with custom stuff.

Just Great Guy To Work With,
Tom
